“La mafia si combatte a partire dai banchi di scuola”
L`AUDITORIUM DELLA SCUOLA SI COLORA CON L`ARTE URBANA COMBATTENDO LA MAFIA
Il 12 settembre 2019, qualche giorno prima dell’inizio dell’anno scolastico presso la Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado “Don Antonio Spalatro”, sulla facciata dell’auditorium, è stata completata l’opera murale che raffigura i giudici Giovani Falcone e Paolo Borsellino, nella classica immagine che li vede assieme sorridenti. L’iniziativa è partita da mini giunta comunale di ragazzi che frequentano la scuola Don Antonio Spalatro” e che hanno proposto nell’ambito del progetto sulla legalità, la realizzazione di un murales con questa immagine.
Riconoscendo il valore educativo di tale progetto, Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Vieste ha deciso di coinvolgere il nostro laboratorio 167B/Street per la realizzazione di questo murale. L’anno scorso abbiamo già realizzato un’altro murales ispirato alla legenda di “Cristalda e Pizzomunno” sulla facciata esterna dell’edificio “Luigi Fasanella” a Vieste.

ENGLISH VERSION:
On 12 September 2019, a few days before the beginning of the school year at the Secondary School of First Degree “Don Antonio Spalatro” in Vieste, on the façade of the auditorium, we created the mural that depicts judges killed in the mafia attack – Giovani Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, in the classic image that sees them together smiling. The initiative started from a “mini city council” of young people attending the Don Antonio Spalatro school who proposed the creation of a mural with this image as part of the legality project.
Recognizing the educational value of this project, the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Vieste decided to involve our 167B / Street laboratory for the realization of this mural. Last year we already created another mural inspired by the legend of “Cristalda and Pizzomunno” on the external facade of the “Luigi Fasanella” building in Vieste.
